Wide body dial indicator mount for a Sheldon 10", 11", 12" & 13" Lathes. Very similar to a Trav-a-dial only at a much lower cost.
This indicator mount is made from really tough & durable 3D printed plastic. This eliminates the chance of scraping or nicking the ways on your lathe bed.
The design of this tool guarantees that the travel of the indicator is parallel to the way of the lathe. This also allows the indicator to be removed for other uses without having to realign.
The top mounted adjustment knob allows for easy loosening, adjusting to another location and easy re-clamping (an awesome feature). A steel nut is embedded in the clamp plate so you don't have to worry about stripping threads when tightening the thumb screw.
The clamp plate is designed to keep it from rotating so when you loosen the knob, the clamp plate stays in alignment with the body, so you don't have to fumble around aligning them when re-clamping (frustration saver). The tool will fit most if not all standard dial indicators.
